Loft Insulation

With the increase in fuel costs, insulating your home has never been more important.

Current recommendations call for a minimum 250mm depth of insulation in the loft area. We are able to supply and fit insulation to your loft, and fit the slate/tile vents necessary to prevent condensation in your loft space. Insulation is rolled between the joists and a second layer may be laid across the joists to prevent the “cold bridge” which is created by the ceiling plasterboard and the joists.

In most instances, we can gain access by removing tiles or slates from your roof to save having your home disturbed. A free survey of your roof is included with any insulation package.

Prices start at £10.50 per m² for 150mm thick top-up insulation, including a minimum of 5 tile/slate vents and all associated labour costs. To supply and fix the recommended 250mm insulation, the cost is from just £13.50 per m², again including a minimum of 5 tile/slate vents and all associated labour costs. For example, a semi-detached house can be fully insulated from as little as £500.00.
